چکیده
CO2 storage is a greenhouse gas mitigation instrument for many countries. In this paper, we investigate the possibility of in region Precaspian basin using compositional flow model that was verified by data Frio pilot project, USA. We use local grid refinement commercial reservoir simulator. simulation Pilot have achieved good history matching well pressure. Different scenarios were tested, and post-injection migration shown both case studies. The long-term shows potential amount trapped residual dissolved trapping mechanisms basin. performed uncertainty study covered model’s parameters resulting P10, P50 P90 cases terms CO2.

متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

متن کاملAn integrative approach to robust design and probabilistic risk assessment for CO2 storage in geological formations
CO2 storage in geological formations is currently being discussed intensively as a technology with a high potential for mitigating CO2 emissions. However, any large-scale application requires a thorough analysis of the potential risks. Current numerical simulation models are too expensive for probabilistic risk analysis or stochastic approaches based on a brute-force approach of repeated simula...
متن کاملPredicting PVT data for CO2–brine mixtures for black-oil simulation of CO2 geological storage
Accurate modeling of the storage or sequestration of CO2 injected into subsurface formations requires an accurate fluid model. This can be achieved using compositional reservoir simulations. However, sophisticated equations of state (EOS) approaches used in current compositional simulators are computationally expensive. It is advantageous and possible to use a simple, but accurate fluid model f...
